Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) is among the world’s leaders in teaching, research, patient care and service to society, with a faculty of nearly 3,800 and a student population of more than 15,000 full-time students, divided almost equally between undergraduate and graduate students.

Ranked 18th in the nation by US News & World Report, WashU is today one of the most selective undergraduate institutions in the country with an average SAT score of 1510 for the entering first-year class and an 8:1 undergraduate student-faculty ratio.

McKelvey School of Engineering

The McKelvey School of Engineering focuses intellectual efforts through a new convergence paradigm and builds on strengths, particularly as applied to medicine and health, energy and environment, entrepreneurship and security. With 96.5 tenured/tenure-track and 33 additional full-time faculty, 1,300 undergraduate students, 1,200 graduate students and 21,000 alumni, we are working to leverage our partnerships with academic and industry partners — across disciplines and across the world — to contribute to solving the greatest global challenges of the 21st century.
